How to Edit Your Order

Solution: Understand how to edit your order once it's been submitted.

After placing an order with Dispatch, you may need to update the pickup or drop-off information. This is possible, but only if a driver has not yet been assigned to your order. Once a driver is assigned, both the pickup and drop-off addresses become locked, and you will no longer be able to make changes. You can continue editing the company details and notes for the driver.

How to Edit Your Pickup or Drop-Off Information

To edit your pickup or drop-off information, navigate to the "Orders" tab in the Marketplace dashboard. From there, locate the order you wish to update.

Next, check the driver assignment status for that order. If the status reads "Driver Assigned," then editing is no longer possible. However, if it shows "Awaiting Assignment" or a similar status, you can proceed with making edits. Click on the order to open the order details screen.

Click the "Edit" button next to the details you want to edit. This will display the fields that are currently editable. You can now update the pickup and/or drop-off information as needed. Be sure to double-check the information you enter, as mistakes can cause delays or delivery failures.

Once your changes are complete, click the "Save" or "Update Order" button, depending on what is displayed. You should see a confirmation message indicating that your changes were saved successfully.

If a Driver Has Already Been Assigned

If a driver has already been assigned to your order, the address fields will be locked and cannot be edited. In this case, you may have the option to cancel the order, as long as it’s within the allowed cancellation window. Alternatively, you can contact Dispatch Support to help resolve the issue.
