Understanding the Order Details Page

What the order details page shows, how it changes as an order moves along, and what customers can do from it (editing, sharing tracking).

In this article, you will learn what the order details page shows, how it changes as your order moves along, and what you can do from it.

Solution: Every order you place in Dispatch has its own details page. It's where you check status, confirm the details you entered, make changes before a driver is assigned, and grab the link to share tracking with anyone else who needs it.

How to Get There

  1. Log in to your Dispatch dashboard.

  2. Click Orders in the top navigation.

  3. Select the order you want to view.

What's on the Page

Order status and timeline. At the top, you'll see the order name, order number, and a status tag (Scheduled, Out for Delivery, Delivered, and so on). Below that, a timeline shows each stage the order has completed and what's still ahead, along with the pickup and drop-off windows.

A live map. The map on the right shows the pickup and drop-off locations. Once a driver is on the road, it updates to show their live location too.

Driver Details. Before a driver is assigned, this section lets you know Dispatch is working on it. Once one is assigned, it shows their name and vehicle.

Order Information. Organization, order name, service level, vehicle type, and any add-ons on the order.

Pickup and Drop-off details. Full address, contact name, contact company, phone number, notification preferences, and any notes you added when placing the order.

Order Notifications. The phone number and email address that will receive delivery updates for this order.

Estimated Price. A cost breakdown, including distance-based delivery pricing.

Order History. A log of what's happened on the order so far, including when it was created, claimed, and released to a driver.

Editing Your Order

Use the Edit Order button near the top of the page to change details like the pickup or drop-off address, contact info, or notes.

You can make changes up until a driver is assigned. Once a driver has been matched to the order, editing is limited, since changes at that point could affect a route already in motion. If you need to change something after a driver is assigned, contact Dispatch Support.

Sharing Tracking

Click Copy Shareable Link near the top of the page to get a link to the public tracking page for this order. Anyone with the link can follow the delivery in real time, no Dispatch account required. This is the easiest way to keep a customer, job site contact, or anyone else in the loop without them needing to log in.

For more on what that page looks like and what it shows, see Tracking an Order with the Public Status Page.
