This article explains how Dispatch automatically keeps you informed about your deliveries and routes.
Solution: Give users up-to-date information about their deliveries without needing to refresh the page.
Prerequisite: Delivery must be created
Monitoring Deliveries in Progress
Dispatch is your home for up-to-the-minute information about your drivers’ locations and the status of every delivery you have scheduled. The following information will automatically update within the Delivery Dashboard and as your drivers complete their routes without needing to refresh the page:
Driver’s location
Delivery status
Route status
Map pin status
Actual delivery time
Driver ETA
Because these pages update automatically, you can easily put either of these pages up on a monitor in your warehouse, lobby, or other central location to give everyone visibility into every delivery scheduled for the day.
There are several actions, however, that will require a user to manually refresh the page to see the updated locations. These actions include:
Updating Settings
Editing a delivery
Canceling a delivery
Adding a new delivery
And most other actions that are triggered by a web app user, not the driver
