Adding Drivers in the Courier Portal

In this article you will learn how to add new drivers and or update driver profiles/vehicles in the Dispatch Courier Portal step-by-step.

*Please note this action can only be done in the Dispatch Courier Portal. These adjustments cannot be made on the Dispatch mobile app*

Log into the Courier Portal and make sure you are on the Users tab. The users tab will show you your entire fleet of drivers.

Please follow below steps in order for accuracy:

Step 1. Click "Add Team Member" The Create user page will appear to input Driver and Vehicle information.

Once you have the drivers first name, last name, email address, phone number. Upload a profile picture of the driver - very important to add a clear image of the drivers face. (Blank, blurry, hats, sunglasses, company logos, vehicle photos cannot be approved as a sufficient driver profile picture.

Once the profile picture is uploaded, click the user role - Courier admin or Courier Driver.

Courier Admins will have full access to the entire platform to make changes, accept and assign orders, payment processing.

Courier Drivers will only have access to the Dispatch mobile app when assigned an order by the Courier admin. They do not have credentials for order acceptance, platform updates, or payment processing. In addition the rates of the orders will remain hidden from courier drivers and only courier admins can view the rates on the orders.

You may select both if a admin will also be a driver on the courier platform*

Step 2. Vehicle Information - Please fill out all required fields regarding vehicle information ( Please note all drivers & vehicles must have proof of commercial insurance before completing orders)

Additionally we will need a clear image of the drivers vehicle in the Vehicle photo section. Please ensure the entire picture of the vehicle is submitted.

You can also add vehicle equipment (roof racks, lift gate, pallet jack, dolly, ramp, etc), vehicle specs (extended cargo van, high top, box truck lengths) and driver skills (Construction Site PPE, TSA Certified, Home Depot Certified, etc).

Step 4. Once all driver and vehicle information is accurately submitted. Click "Save User"

After clicking save user you will then need to click "invite user" This will send an invite email to your driver to download the Dispatch Mobile App and to create a login via the app. Once a login is created and the driver is logged in, they will be officially connect to your courier account as a courier driver.

(Please note that a courier driver should never be asked to sign up for STRIPE. If the the driver is getting a message to create a STRIPE account, please let Dispatch Support know of this. STRIPE should only be created one time by the admin/dispatcher of the courier account at the beginning of onboarding)

After the driver is connected they will be ready to be assigned orders by the accounts admin/dispatcher.
