Tracking an Order with the Public Status Page

What the public, view-only delivery tracking page is, who can view it, and how to share the link from an order.

In this article, you will learn what the public status tracking page is, who can view it, and how to share the link.

Solution: Every order in Dispatch has a live, view-only tracking page you can share with anyone, no login required. Use it to give your customers real-time visibility into their delivery without picking up the phone.

What Is the Public Status Tracking Page

The public status tracking page is a standalone webpage tied to a single order. It shows the delivery status, the estimated arrival window, driver information, and a live map, all updating automatically as the order moves through each stage.

Anyone with the link can view the page. They do not need a Dispatch account or a password to open it.

Who Can View It

  • The customer who placed the order

  • Any additional contact you share the link with (a front desk, a job site foreman, an end customer)

  • Anyone else you choose to send the link to

The page is read-only. People viewing it cannot make changes to the order.

How to Find and Share the Link

  1. Log in to your Dispatch dashboard and open Orders.

  2. Select the order you want to share.

  3. On the order details page, click Copy Shareable Link.

  4. Paste the link into an email, a text message, or wherever your customer will see it.

The link works as soon as the order is created and stays active until the delivery is complete.

What Your Customer Will See

The link opens a standalone webpage, no Dispatch account or app needed, just a browser.

On it, they will see:

  • The delivery status timeline (Driver Assigned, Pickup Complete, Drop-Off, and so on)

  • The estimated drop-off window

  • A live map showing the route and the driver's current location

  • Order information: organization, order name, and pickup/drop-off addresses

  • Pickup and drop-off contact details (name, company, phone number) and any notes on the order

  • Proof of service, including the pickup photo once it's captured

  • Trip stats such as total distance and total engaged time

The page refreshes on its own, so your customer sees the latest update.

When to Share It

Sending the link proactively is one of the easiest ways to cut down on "where is my order" calls. A few good moments to share it:

  • Right after you place the order

  • When a customer calls in asking for an update

  • Alongside any confirmation email or text you already send
