In this article, you will see how to successfully submit proof of delivery.
Solution: To enable drivers to show they completed a delivery.
When you arrive at drop off, follow these steps to successfully complete the delivery:
Check the drop off notes for any special instructions, hints, or points of contact
Safely unload materials in the proper spot identified by the recipient-be neat and organized. Drivers are expected to offload all orders.
Take at least 1 picture of the delivery, drivers can submit up to 8:
Stand back, zoom out and capture ALL materials in picture(s)
If needed, take multiple pictures from different angles
If you drop material in two different areas, make sure you have multiple pictures
Include the background that shows where items were offloaded such as front steps, loading dock, driveway
These are all requirements that must be met to successfully complete the delivery.
Lets look at some examples:
The image on the left is unacceptable because there is no background to determine where the package has been left. The image on the right is acceptable because it shows the entire package and surrounding area so the customer can easily locate it.
Here is a great example of a driver using multiple pictures to clearly show ALL items delivered.
It's important that materials are always stacked neatly and with care. Remember, drivers are compensated for all offloads as a part of delivery. The picture on the left is perfect! The picture on the right does not show where the items were left or all items.
